Description of research work
My project attempts to shed light on how and why China intentionally expanded regional cooperation in the SCO and the GMS after 2000s. While some previous researches have analyzed China’s adjustment in foreign policy with her immediate neighbor countries based on individual and international levels, little attention has been paid to domestic factors such as China’s Western Development Strategy. Therefore, my project focuses on the influence of domestic economic development on China’s regional cooperation policy.
