THE “NORTHEAST ASIA SDGs NETWORK: THE ROLE OF MONGOLIA” WORKSHOP
On July 8, 2025, the Director of the Institute, Dorjsuren Nanjin, Ph.D., visited the University of Tokyo and gave a presentation on the above topic at the invitation of the university.
In addition to Japanese scholars and students, representatives from China and Bhutan participated in the event, further enriching the discussion.
Some of the notable points included:
- The participants showed keen interest when we mentioned that the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification will be held in our country next year.
- A Bhutanese student noted that the King of Bhutan’s visit to Mongolia had significantly contributed to strengthening bilateral relations and deepening understanding between the two countries. The student also inquired about the future prospects for cooperation between the two landlocked nations.
The presentation and discussion at this event supported youth participation in sustainable regional development and paved the way for future cooperation.
